Google – the ‘Leading Search Engine Maestro’, is well known
for its internet-related services and products. Google has maximum search and
market share in the world, followed by Yahoo and Bing. Apart from its
internet-based services, Google is also known for its undertakings and
multi-country presence. In one such expansion project, Google is now all set to
expand its wings in India.
Announced
earlier this year, Google is likely to build its second largest campus
outside America, in the city of Hyderabad with an investment of over 1,000
Crore INR.

Telangana’s Information Technology Minister KT Rama Rao,
tweeted this big news, saying, “Excited to announce that Google &
Government of Telangana have inked a MoU to build their largest campus (outside
the US) in Hyderabad.”
Google’s Hyderabad campus is going to be one of its first in
entire Asia and is expected to build in a total space of 2 million square feet.
Google is planning to invest a huge amount in this project and is also expected
to double its headcount in a time span of four years.
The MoU has already been signed by the Telangana IT
Secretary Jayesh Ranjan and David Radcliffe, Google’s Vice President for Real
Estate & Workplace Development.

Information technology sector is likely to get a big push
after Google's big investment plans, in terms of FDI investment and job availability in Hyderabad. Apart
from building its 2nd largest campus in the city, Google is also planning to
double its employee strength, from 6,500 to 13,000.
Currently, Hyderabad contributes over US $7 billion (as of
2014) in the IT export of India and has over 22% share in NASSCOM's total
membership. Establishment of high-tech IT parks in the city has attracted
numerous US-based companies and industry giants in the past few years, which,

This investment project of Google is likely to increase the

According to the market experts, Google’s huge investment plans will add a new
chapter to the existing FDI investment in the state. Hyderabad already has
Microsoft’s second largest R&D center and with Google’s 2nd largest campus,
