India has witnessed amazing
growth in the startup ecosystem in the past few years. These startups lead to
the growth of several startup zones in the country, which, on the other hand,
boosted economy and infrastructure of the state. Delhi, the capital city of
India has also emerged as the second largest startup in the country. Hundreds
of emerging startups not only boost the economy of the state but also create
thousands of jobs within Delhi for freshers .
In this article, we share the
success story of 5 Delhi based startups:
1. Kart Rocket
It is an end-to-end e-commerce
partner platform which help company built, operate, manage and grow their
brand/business online. In 2014, the startup raised US$ 2 million series A round
funding from Nirvana Venture Advisors, 500 Startups and Japan-based Beenos
(NetPrice ). The funding were received at the end of October last year. Earlier
in 2014, the startup worked in building design software, integration and
processes to solve major website building hurdles. It also worked towards
effective creation of a mobile site, integration of payment gateways and
empowered automated cost effective shipping for Indian SMEs.
2. FashionAndYou
One of the leading flash sales
player of India, FashionAndYou process over 6,000 orders on a daily basis with
a GMV of $4.5 million every month. Currently operational from Gurgaon, Surat,
Mumbai and Bangalore, FashionAndYou is expected to launch their shopping app
with improved features.
3. Unicommerce
An online multichannel for
e-commerce order fulfillment, Unicomemrce possess nearly 7 lakh orders on
monthly basis as of 2014. This Noida based startup has reportedly raised $10
million from Tiger Global in 2014 and has a client base of Snapdeal, Nike,
Jabong , Lazada, Groupon and several others.
4. Tripoto
A global traveler’s community,
Tripoto help traveler around the world share their experiences and travel
itineraries on a single platform. As of now, this unique traveler’s platform has
over a traction of 350,000 unique pageviews /per month. Tripoto has also
received a seed funding from OutBox Ventures and Kunal Bahl.
5. Holidify
Operating as destination
discovery website, Holidify enables users to find holiday options in a
personalized manner. Launched in January 2014 with 290 destination , Holidify
currently has over 8 Lakh users mapping over 559 destination across India.
There are many such startups popping up in Delhi NCR region, making it India's desirable startup destination.
